The Schools and Libraries Division (SLD) of the
Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC)
administers the E-Rate program, which assists
schools and libraries in the United States obtain
affordable telecommunications and Internet access.
Components of Untangle Gateway Platform are eligible
for E-Rate discounts, including basic firewall,
router, and remote access. Not all of Untangle’s
features, however, are eligible, such as content
filtering. Fortunately, you may still cost-allocate
across the eligible and ineligible components of the
Untangle Gateway Platform and receive E-Rate
discounts for the eligible portion. It is important
to only request discounts on the eligible portion or
your application will be declined.
